Tenants
As a tenant you should ensure your landlord or letting agent gives you information relevant to your use of the gardens. In particular, you may want to familiarise yourself with the following:
- Payment of the LGA subscription.
- Gaining access to the gardens.
- Rules for using the gardens.
- Give the LGA committee information.
THE LGA SUBSCRIPTION :
Payment of the annual suscription to the LGA is a legal obligation on each householder. Your lease agreement may pass this obligation to you. You should check with your landlord/agent about this detail.
When the annual LGA letter is delivered [typically in June], you should either pay the subscription ASAP - there is usually an 'early bird' discount - or you should pass the letter to your landlord/agent.
DO NOT THROW THE LETTER AWAY - IT IS AN IMPORTANT LEGAL OBLIGATION TO PAY.
Information on current subscription levels is available elsewhere on this web site - click the link on the LHS.
GIVE THE LGA COMMITTEE INFORMATION
If you receive information from the LGA about subscriptions or other matters you think should be directed to your agent/landlord - get in touch with a LGA Secretary and ensure we have the relevant contact information.
The LGA will be able to redirect letters etc to your agent or landlord if its information is up-to-date. Email the Secretary from here, or by clicking the 'letter' icon on the LHS.
ACCESSING THE GARDENS
Each household has a key to the gardens; check with your landlord/agent if you have not been given a key.
Please ensure the gate(s) are locked when you leave the gardens to minimise the risk of damage to this amenity.
USING THE GARDENS
Guidelines are available for the use of the gardens - get a PDF copy here. You must tell a committee member if you intend holding a function in the gardens - a nominated person must be identified, responsible for any damage incurred.
We hope you enjoy your stay in this area. The gardens are an amenity for your benefit. Please help us keep them in good condition by complying with the guidelines.
This web site contains other information about the gardens and the LGA - we would encourage you to use this to keep up-to-date. Please contact any LGA committee member if you have any questions.
